About us

The Alumni Association for Conservation and Development (AACD) is a non-profit, non-governmental national level organization established in 2009 with the initiation of a group of forestry graduates interested on conservation and development. AACD is legally registered in district administration of Kathmandu and Social Welfare Council (SWC), Kathmandu, Nepal. We started with an aim to address the current conservation issues as a result of increasing human population and its pressure on natural resources as well as biodiversity. We aspire to work with various rural communities of Nepal in reducing their dependency on natural resources and conserving nature together with uplifting their livelihood.
